• Be gentle in the shower—no scrubbing or rubbing, just pat dry.
• Hydrate like it's your job (inside and out).
• Moisturize daily to keep your skin happy and your tan from fading unevenly.
• Grab our NUDA Tan Extender Lotion in-studio for longer wear (especially great for vacays).
• We also have a sample tan extender that give the DHA in your tan a more vibrant look, best used around days 4–5,
• Our must-have Face Mist to keep your face, hands, and feet glowing longer, like your body!

Do your “everything shower” (shave + exfoliate) the day or night before your tan—or at least 6 hours ahead. Avoid showering right before your appointment if you can. Open pores + fresh-shaved skin = not ideal. If you must shower before your appointment, keep it to water-only!! — Have no soap, lotion, deodorant, oils, or makeup on. Wear loose, dark, comfy clothes!

Yup! Exfoliate and shave the day or night before. You want a fresh, clean slate—no leftover lotion, old tan, or body wash build-up.

Loose, dark, cozy clothes are your best friend post-tan. We even have a little rack at the studio with oversized tees, sweats, hoodies, and shirt dresses if you need backup.
Please don’t go home and get naked to “marinate”—you need fabric to avoid skin-on-skin smudging (we’re looking at you, behind-the-knees crew). Tuck that tee in, babes!

Yes—BUT timing is everything!

• Regular (overnight) solution: Moisturize after your first shower.
• Rapid solution: Wait until the next day to start moisturizing. Let your skin breathe and the color develop fully (18–24 hours is golden).

We know... but please don't. Shampoo/conditioner can mess with your tan development. Stick to a water-only rinse.
We have shower caps you can use or take home if needed!

YESSS. Especially with Rapid and Rapid Silk solutions!
We go over your exact shower time at every appointment, but it really matters for color depth and tone.

• Shower too early = too light.
• Shower too late = could get too dark or uneven.
  If you're using a regular solution, wait at least 9 hours (or go full commitment mode and leave it on for 24 hours). Don’t panic if you look super dark before rinsing—it’s just the bronzer developing!

You can—but chlorine can fade your tan faster, especially if you’re soaking or floating for long periods.
Quick dips? You’re fine. Just pat dry and moisturize after.
Ocean water tends to be more forgiving than the pool. So go live your best beachy life!

We recommend our Silk Rapid Solution—it's super hydrating and made with organic ingredients (except the DHA).
Heads up: pregnancy hormones can affect how dark your tan gets.
And yes, breastfeeding is totally okay. We have nipple covers on hand, or you can wear a strapless bra. Just be sure to wipe off any overspray before nursing!

Not really! Our clear solution won’t rub off at all.
Our bronzer solutions can transfer a bit, especially before your second shower—but don’t worry, there's no alcohol or oil, so it won’t stain!

Yes! A spray tan does not protect you from UV rays. Wear sunscreen (cream-based, not spray!), especially since it’s harder to notice you're burning when you're already glowing.

We block off 30 minutes, but most tans take 15–20 minutes. Plan a few extra mins to find parking!

Nope! You must wait at least 2 weeks post-burn (sometimes longer). Your skin needs to fully heal or the tan will go patchy and peel off. Think chameleon shedding—not cute.

• Waxing: If you're a regular waxer, wait 5–7 days after your wax before tanning. New to waxing? Wait 8–12 days.
• Nails & beauty services: Do them before your tan. Always! We’ll clean up your hands/nails so you're good to go.
• Working out: Wait 24 hours if possible. If you got a rapid tan, minimal sweating is okay after rinsing. But skip the hot yoga and HIIT until the next day!
  Got a regular solution on? No working out until after you shower—or you’ll become a human drip painting.
